December 27, 2004
Tring, U.K. - HarmonyAudio, a new audio conversion tool from Miglia Technology, will capture audio from any analog source straight into computer-based applications for audio manipulation, the manufacturer announced. The unit will ship next month.
Using a FireWire interface, HarmonyAudio requires no software driver installation and works out of the box with instruments, microphones or other devices. The unit features two analog lines in and eight analog lines out, along with a 24 bit, 96 kHz conversion rate with FireWire audio interafce.
HarmonyAudio is Core Audio compatible, ensuring operation with compliant applications like GarageBand, Logic Express, Logic Audio and many more. The FireWire bus provides required power, so no external power is required (six pin only).
HarmonyAudio has an aluminum case, anodized in silver. Compatible with FireWire-equipped Mac computers (256 RAM recommended), running Mac OS X 10.3.5 and higher, the product is expected to ship in January at a list price of $299 USD.
