NewTek Releases More Free Textures

San Antonio, TX - NewTek has a holiday gift for the digital artist community - free high resolution images.
The sixth edition of NewTek's free Texture Collection, available for free download, includes fifty high-resolution textures. The total number of free textures available from NewTek is now at 300. The sixth edition of the texture collection (low res samples shown) contains images in the categories Concrete, Nature, Soil, Stone and Wood, and most images in this latest set are at even higher pixel resolutions than NewTek's first five sets, the company describes.
All textures are unretouched photographic images. The first 250 in the collection offer a resolution of 1600 pixels x 1200 pixels resolution. For the sixth set, most are at a resolution of 2304 x 1728, with a few images at lower resolutions. The textures are provided in JPEG format, for efficient download.
The first five editions of the texture collection have been overwhelmingly popular, with tens of thousands of downloads since they were originally posted. NewTek plans to release additional sets of high-resolution textures.
