Serious Magic Announces DV Rack Best Shot Contest

Folsom, CA - Serious Magic, Inc., creator DV Rack, the PC-assist video production software, announced the DV Rack Give Us Your Best Shot Contest.
Users and trial users of DV Rack are invited to share up to 90 seconds of their best video footage shot while using DV Rack and a DV camera. Contestants will be eligible to win a grand prize package worth over $12,000 donated by contest co-sponsors: Alienware, DV Magazine, Panasonic, Photoflex, Sony and THK Photo Products.
During the month of November, contestants will shoot their submission which consists of at least three different shots edited into a cohesive scene.
Scenes could showcase a variety of film styles including comedic, dramatic or avant-garde--the choice is up to the contestant.
Final clips will be evaluated on video quality, audio quality, composition, lighting, creativity and content. Winning videos will be picked by a panel of six judges which include Serious Magic staff, video producers and industry professionals.
Prize-winning clips will be announced on Serious Magic's website on December 21, 2004.
