September 15, 2004
Los Angeles, CA - ProCon Technology has introduced vStor, shared network video storage for DV and SD video capturing and editing applications like Avid Xpress, Adobe Premiere Pro and Apple Final Cut Pro.
Multiple editing workstations can share storage and access content through Ethernet, the company describes, and the output can be sent to tape or air directly. Removable hard disc drives, RAID array redundancy capabilities, as well as multi-stream (as many as 26 DV25 streams) editing are among the supported features.
vStor series products are easy to use, low cost to own and operate, versatile, scalable, and reliable. Management software, real-time optimization, fault- tolerance, RAID and multiple gigabit Ethernet interfaces are included. vStor supports low latency/jitters or high throughput applications with several models, ranging in capacity from 960 GB to six terabytes (6 TB) raw storage.
Models are priced from $9,999 to $39,999, depending on capacity, features and configurations.
