Addonics Announces Four-Slot UDD External Reader/Writer

Irvine, CA - Addonics Technologies has unveiled its four-slot PCMCIA external reader/writer, supporting the simultaneous transfer of data between PCMCIA hard drive, ATA Flash or supported flash media.
The 4-Slot UDD (Ultra DigiDrive) integrates four pocket UDDs into a compact reader/writer device. The unit adds further versatility to the Pocket UDDs by using four independent USB connections, allowing simultaneous read, write or transfer at the full USB 2.0 speed or the latest Serial ATA for a maximum data transfer up to 150Mbytes/sec.
The 4-Slot UDD can also be configured as a RAID 1 or RAID 0 system using 2 PCMCIA hard drives or a RAID 1+0 with 4 PCMCIA hard drives.
System Requirements:
Pentium 200 Mhz or faster
Minimum RAM 32 MB
Minimum free hard disk space 10 MB
4 free USB 2.0, USB 1.1 or Serial ATA port
BIOS supports for USB hard disk boot for the boot function
One of the following Operating Systems: Windows 98/SE, Me, 2000, XP, Linux kernel 2.4 or higher, Solaris 8.
