Intelix Intros High Resolution VGA Balun
August 30, 2004
Middleton, WI - Intelix U.S. has introduced its VGA-UHR, a high resolution balun that can transmit a broadcast-quality WSXGA (1900 x 1200 pixel) signal up to 550 feet via standard Cat 5 cabling.
(A balun is a small transformer which converts an audio, video, or VGA signal from unbalanced to balanced and vice versa. By doing so, baluns make the necessary impedance adjustments for A/V signal transmission between different wiring systems.)
The VGA-UHR features customizable color dip switches for eliminating picture skew and ghosting, as well as gain adjustment for toggling picture brightness, the manufacturer describes, and is suitable for houses of worship, schools, corporate, and convention A/V applications.
Intelix's complete line includes baluns which passively transmit audio, composite video, broadband video, baseband video, component video, and multiple resolutions of VGA, as well as an extensive line of professional audio/video solutions.
