HI-POD Extends WEVA EXPO Offer
August 25, 2004
Los Angeles, CA - HI-POD has extended its WEVA EXPO special show offer on purchases of its camera support and harness system, the company has announced.
Special purchase pricing, accessory offers and extended payment terms are being offered to WEVA chapters and members. Rentals are also available.
The one-person HI-POD can operate like an extreme monopod, a crane or a steadicam, the company descibes. The maximum weight supported is 20 pounds. The X1-P unit comes with everything (monitor, controller, battery, visor, bag, assisting tri-pod). The X1 comes without the extras.
In addition the stability harness has a second attachment point that makes the HI-POD useful as a true crane, enabling boom ups from one inch off the ground
to its maximum height, grand sweeping or following shots, or elevated steadi-cam type movements while walking with the unit.
The X1 has a suggested retail price of $2250; the X1-P has a suggested retail price of $2995.
