Matrox Unveils Portable Multi-display Graphics Card

Montreal, QC - Matrox Graphics announced the Matrox Millennium P650 Low-profile PCI graphics card, with DualHead support in the smallest of form factors.
At 5.2 inches in length, the Millennium P650 Low-profile PCI fits into both docking stations and small form factor PCs, a solution for audio and video professionals who require portability.
The industry's smallest DualHead card, the Millennium P650 Low-profile PCI is equipped with 64 MBs of DDR memory and fits both standard ATX and low-profile systems, the company describes. It offers exceptionally high-quality digital and analog output with fully symmetric support for dual digital flat panels, at resolutions of up to 1920 x 12001, as well as for dual analog displays, at resolutions of up to 1920 x 1440, the manufacturer describes.
Users also have the option to purchase an additional TV output cable housing S-video and composite connectors in order to output to an NTSC/PAL video monitor. Supported multi-monitor modes include: dual-RGB, dual-DVI, single-display plus video output, DualHead Clone, and DualHead Zoom. The Millennium P650 Low-profile PCI is OpenGL and Microsoft DirectX compliant across multiple displays and ships with drivers for Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 2000 and offers support for Linux.
The Millennium P650 Low-profile PCI will be available in Q3 2004; the TV output cable for the Millennium P650 Low-profile PCI can be purchased separately.
