TrinityFX Transitions from GrangerFX Now Available

Dana Point, CA - GrangerFX has released a package of over 500 near real-time broadcast quality transitions and effects. This new product, TrinityFX, contains a wide range of effects that include simple wipes, 3D DVEs, page peels and fully ray-traced scenes.
Seven years ago, Play Inc. introduced the Trinity video system with the goal of changing the way television and video was made. Many people saw the Trinity demonstrated at trade shows like NAB and Comdex. One of the Trinity’s most impressive features was its ability to create real time 3D video effects. Play Inc was later purchased by GlobalStreams Inc. which licensed the effects for use in TrinityFX.
TrinityFX contains all the effects and transitions that shipped with the Trinity switcher and non-linear editor plus many additional never previously released effects. Play’s talented team of animators took years to produce these effects. Most of the effects were designed for use with NTSC video but the package also includes over 170 effects in PAL format.
TrinityFX is bundled with GrangerFX plug-ins for Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro (pictured). GrangerFX plug-ins have a simple user interface. To apply a transition, the user drags the plug-in onto their timeline and chooses the desired effect from a list. The effect can then be previewed in near real-time by scrubbing through the video in draft mode. The user can also select a high quality mode for smooth filtering of their video clips. GrangerFX plug-ins allow users to crop their video clips to remove unwanted noise around the edges. The plug-ins render the effects quickly and with the highest possible quality.
Each effect file in TrinityFX combines graphics channels with warp and visibility information for up to three video sources. This information is used by GrangerFX plug-ins to apply the effect file to the original video clips to produce the finished effect.

TrinityFX is available now for $499. TrinityFX is bundled with GrangerFX plug-ins for Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro on Windows 2000/XP. A Macintosh version of GrangerFX is under development.
