Macromedia Delivers Flash 2004 Update

San Francisco, CA - Localized versions of the Macromedia Flash MX 2004 updater will be available later this summer, the company announced, but the upgraded Macromedia Flash MX 2004 and Flash MX Professional 2004 is available now.
The update (7.2) to Flash MX 2004 increases developer productivity by reducing initial launch and compile times and making the application lighter and more efficient to use, the company describes. Significant improvements to documentation consist of more than 400 additional code examples and new chapters on component creation and customization.
In addition to performance improvements and enhanced documentation, this update brings more efficient use of system resources, improved international font support, and a reduction in disk storage requirements to run Flash, which is of particular interest for educational and volume customers with multi-user configurations.
The Flash MX 2004 and Flash MX Professional 2004 update is available online for no additional charge; full version of Flash MX Pro 2004 are priced at $699, and full version of Studio MX with Flash 2004 are $999.
