eyeon Software to Show New Fusion 5 Architecture
August 03, 2004
Toronto, ON - eyeon Software will debut its new compositing solution, Fusion 5, at Siggraph 2004.
The company describes redefining the core architecture of Fusion to include powerful new functionality, such as a full 3D environment and OpenGL acceleration, to redefine its already powerful toolset. The new features are by far the most aggressive leap by eyeon to provide the most refined, feature-packed application that is based heavily on client commentary and providing solutions to real production problems.
The 3D environment is aided by the implementation of OpenGL, which becomes a key part of the Fusion interface by accelerating the display views, the 3D Particle Suite, and enabling 3D text.
Fusion 5 now allows the operator the ability to edit a flow in ASCII (plain text), providing facilities or artists the flexibility to modify compositions using a favorite scripting language.
Fusion 5 also includes the addition of Bsplines and a new mask node feature for direct masking control functionality within the Flow. New direct connections between tools will enhance the UI experience and simplify Flow management, while double-edged masks provide greater control over internal and external softness parameters.
Fusion has continually proved itself as a leading compositing solution due to its artist-centric UI, workflow, pipeline management via scripting and ASCII control, native toolset, free technical support, progressive development and a dedication to client feedback that fuels future iterations of eyeon products.
