Industry's First 64 Bit Laptop for Nonlinear Editing Announced

Somerville, MA - 1 Beyond, Inc. has introduced what it's calling the industry’s first 64 bit laptop specifically configured for nonlinear editing and graphics applications.
The 1 Beyond Power Pro 6434-X laptop is available immediately, the compnay announced, and is available with Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Xpress Pro or Sony Vegas.
The 1 Beyond Power Pro 6434-X provides improved 32-bit software application performance now, while allowing a simplified and seamless migration path to 64-bit applications in the future, the manufacturer describes. It is designed to provide unprecedented application performance for users by tremendously expanding data capacity and removing the traditional memory bandwidth limitations of 32-bit processors.
The 1 Beyond 64 bit laptop features AMD64 technology for uncompromising 32-bit performance and a seamless migration to 64-bit computing; HyperTransport technology for outstanding dual processor bandwidth and reduced I/O bottleneck; an integrated DDR memory controller for improved application performance and hardware-enabled virus protection.
The top model with all options is priced at $5,395.
