Lumidium Delivers DV Image Pan Solution
June 16, 2004
London, UK - Lumidium has unveiled an enhanced verion of DigiRostrum, a software application that turns a PC into a fully functioning rostrum camera.
The "Ken Morse Edition" is named for, and co-developed by, a well-known British TV and rostrum cameraman.
Using the click-and-drag keyframe controls in DigiRostrum, users can track, zoom or rotate a virtual camera across high definition image files, and then render the sequence out as broadcast quality video files, the manufacturer describes. An auto-timing feature allows for instant re-timing of a defined move, changing either the entire length of a defined portion of the move.
The company has also developed a dedicated DigiRostrum workstation (pictured) for post houses and production companies, built using the latest technology and providing the highest quality video output, the company describes.
There are three versions of DigiRostrum software available. The Pro and HD versions are aimed at the broadcast market, while the DV version is designed for smaller commercial and home users. All three offer the same tools for customized rostrum work, but each has different rendering and output capabilities.
