Sony's New Projectors Connect Wirelessly
June 10, 2004
Atlanta, GA - Sony has inveiled new projectors designed to eliminate set-up hassles using wireless capabilities and auto-set-up features.
The new VPL-CX75 model is equipped with a wireless transmission and control system so presentations can be delivered wirelessly through an 802.11b wireless network card. This new projector can be easily connected to a centralized information sharing point.
Additionally, the conference table won't be cluttered with distracting wires when using this wireless model. Featuring 2500 ANSI lumens, the CX75 is designed to provide a superior image quality. Lighting conditions in a room are less of a consideration because of the high brightness this LCD model delivers.
Weighing six pounds, four ounces, the CX75 has a streamlined design with one-touch automatic set-up that performs keystone correction (vertical and horizontal). The unit includes an auto focus lens. It also features three LCD panels with one lens projection and has a 3.0-3.4m throw distance, which allows for bigger presentations. It comes complete with wireless network card, USB Adapter, and Memory Stick flash media capabilities, giving users the option of delivering their presentations without having to connect to a PC.
The new VPL-CX70 model, also weighing six pounds, four ounces, is a portable projector that can be transported between meeting rooms for inner office use. The model features three LCD panels with one lens projection, producing 2000 ANSI lumens and a 3.0-3.4m throw distance. With a sleek design and intelligent set-up that automatically performs keystone correction (vertical and horizontal), the CX70 is simple to turn on and operate, with the power to deliver crisp, clear, business presentations.
The VPL-CX70 and the VPL-CX75 will be available this June, priced at about $2,200 and $3,000, respectively.
