BOXX Announces HD [pro] RT Shipments

Austin, TX - BOXX Technologies will ship its new HD [pro] RT, described as the world's first software-based, real-time high-definition nonlinear editing system, featuring CineForm Prospect HD running in Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 on the Microsoft Windows XP operating system, beginning June 15, 2004.
Introduced at NAB, HD [pro] RT employs CineForm Prospect HD, which replaces the existing video engine within Adobe Premiere Pro to deliver real-time multi-stream processing of high-definition video within Premiere Pro. Ideal for the media professionals, the BOXX HD [pro] RT can process three real-time 1080p24 streams simultaneously, offering color correction on each stream, effects processing, transitions, titles and graphic overlays with motion.
A 10-bit online workflow is supported working with full-resolution source material, without creating intermediate proxy files. HD [pro] RT with Prospect HD supports a HD-SDI input and output interface for real-time capturing of high-definition video and simultaneous monitoring of the timeline in YUV color space.
HD [pro] RT accepts video input from a variety of 8-bit or 10-bit HD sources, including HD-SDI and HDV. Input source material is converted in real time into Prospect HD's highly-efficient visually perfect format known as CFHD prior to writing to disk, reducing the disk bandwidth normally required to process high-resolution content and lowering the cost of associated storage to create a highly productive environment. Prospect HD's AVI file structure ensures file compatibility across a broad range of Windows-based applications.
The HD [pro] RT system is delivered fully integrated with up to 2.4TBs of RAID 5 storage housed in a custom 4U rackmount or deskside chassis and bundled with three industry-leading applications from Adobe to cover an array of digital content creation needs.

HD [pro] RT will begin shipping June 15, 2004, with pricing starting at $22,995. BOXX is offering a $3,000 instant rebate on any HD [pro] RT order placed by June 30, 2004. The instant rebate is only available to customers in North America.
