New LitePanels Utilizes Cool LED Technology

North Hollywood, CA - LitePanels announced availability of the new LitePanel family of daylight balanced lighting systems, employing ultra efficient LED technology to produce a soft and “projected” light, the manufacturer describes.
The first of the series is the Mini LitePanel. This compact head is ideal to mount on camera, a stand, or any tight spot needing a highly-portable soft light. Completely flicker-free, this 5600K head offers an output of 80 foot-candles at 2 feet, and is 3 times more efficient than a conventional tungsten camera light. Virtually heat-free, the LitePanel is dimmable from 0 to 100%, with virtually no shift in color.
The Mini LitePanel head features a smart rectangular design, conveniently suited to widescreen format. Measuring just 6.75”w x 2.25”h x 1.25” d (175mm x 55mm x 30mm), and weighing about a pound (.5kg) the compact head may be mounted, via an optional extension arm, on virtually any digital or film camera. A detachable base plate accessory allows for the light to be fully free-standing, with pan and tilt adjustments. To optimize compatibility, the system comes with both an elegant snap-on NIMH one-hour plus battery pack and an 80-280V AC adapter.
For optimum control, the unit includes a pack of 16 interchangeable color/diffusion gels.
The Mini LitePanel is available in a single head configuration or the convenient Duo Kit that features two of everything; heads, batteries, power adapters, gel kits, and power adapter plugs for worldwide compatibility.
The single head package (includes one litepanel, 16 piece filter kit, hotshoe adapter and Anton/Bauer power adapter) is priced at $725.
