Anton/Bauer Offers More Powerful Choices at NAB
April 19, 2004
Las Vegas, NV - Anton/Bauer is expanding its wide range of battery, charger and lighting equipment at NAB.
Leading the way is the Dionic 160, the most powerful lithium ion battery in the industry, capable of loads up to 140 watts, almost three times that of most lithium ion batteries available. 30% lighter than our high performance nickel based chemistries, it can run a typical ENG camera for well over 5 hours and handle on camera lights as well, the manufacturer described.
Also at the exhibition, Anton/Bauer introduced the latest accessory in its best-selling UltraLight on-camera lighting line-up. The UL Dimmer allows the output of any UltraLight to be controlled from 0 to 100% output. A unique memory function lets the user pre-set a high and low output for instantaneous adjustment to existing lighting condition. UL Dimmer mounts underneath the camera light, bringing the Ultralight forward to ensure that close-ups are free of any lens shadows.
The new QBH-30 is designed to support 30 volt lighting or film equipment with continuous portable operation. Powered by four standard high performance 14 volt Gold Mount batteries, the QBH-30 has a 30 volt output connector capable of handling a 10 amp load (280 watts) – more than enough for 250 watt HMI ballasts. The batteries can be replaced as they are depleted without interrupting power to the equipment, enabling continuous operation without interruption.
The company also announced that it has incorporated the lineup of ASPEKT products into its portfolio to complement the Anton/Bauer range with an economical product set designed to meet the requests of the event market. Included in the Aspekt series is the Nexus battery system, which includes the exclusive Phantom perpetual power feature –for true hot swapping and backup capability.
