IDX Ships DV Power Solution; Upgrades Chargers

Las Vegas, NV - IDX introduced three products to support the operation of 7.2V DV Cameras using the same 14.4V batteries used on broadcast cameras.
ENDURA SD-1E is a small, lightweight V-Mount bracket that can be attached to any standard waist belt. The unit will support one IDX ENDURA battery, or two if using the exclusive IDX ENDURA PowerLink system, which gives a wattage output ranging from 55Wh to 164Wh. Configured with batteries the SD-1E weighs a mere 2 to 4 pounds. This is a great weight reduction compared to other belt type power systems of similar wattage. Also available is the SD-1NP is for use with NP-Style batteries.
Users can select 7.2V and/or 12V output to the camera and/or other devices such as on-board lights and portable monitors. The IDX ENDURA SD-1E is a perfect solution for DV camera users and portable audio users, who want long run times and the convenience of using one battery system to power all types of professional video and audio production devices.
IDX has upgraded its VL-2Plus and JL-2Plus chargers. Both the new VL-2Plus and JL-2Plus units sport a new high impact molded case reducing their weight to 2 lbs. Additionally, the performance has been improved by 15%, resulting in slightly faster charge times, the company describes.
The VL-2Plus is a 2-channel, multi-format, sequential, V-Mount quick charger with a built-in 60watt power supply. The VL-2Plus includes an auto-switching power supply for use around the world, and with the use of the A-NP2E adaptor, IDX NP-style batteries may also be charged on the VL-2Plus.
The JL-2Plus is a 2-channel, multi-format, sequential, NP-style quick charger with a built-in 60watt power supply. The JL-2Plus includes an auto-switching power supply for use around the world, and with the use of the C-NP2E adaptor, ENDURA System batteries may also be charged on the JL-2Plus.
The IDX ENDURA SD-1E and SD-1NP are shipping now for $245.
