Real-Time HD Editing with BOXX HDV [pro] and CineForm’s Aspect HD
April 18, 2004
Las Vegas, NV - BOXX introduced the HDV [pro] editing workstation with CineForm, Inc.'s Aspect HD as an add-on option to the new system.
Aspect HD uses a visually-lossless CFHD codec to deliver four or more HD video streams for real-time editing, including transitions, effects, color adjustments, title and graphic overlays and motion. The system captures directly from JVCs JY-HD10U and GR-HD1 camcorders and JVCs high-definition D-VHS deck over 1394 Firewire and exports to a variety of HD or standard definition output formats such as MPEG2-HD, Windows Media 9 and standard DVD.
BOXX workstations and rendering systems deliver the performance and reliability digital content creators demand and are ideal for anything from animation, game development and CAD to DV, SD and HD, the manufacturer reports. Available in single-or dual-processor configurations featuring the latest AMD Athlon and Opteron processors and Intel Pentium 4 and Xeon processors, BOXX workstations and render nodes support popular software from companies such as Adobe, Alias, Autodesk, Discreet, Newtek and Softimage.
