New Automatic Duck Pro Plug-in Translates NLE Timelines to combustion 3
April 14, 2004
Snohomish, WA - Automatic Duck, Inc., has announced release of Automatic Duck Pro Import C3.
The new plug-in for Discreet's combustion 3 motion graphics, compositing, and visual effects solution allows editors to import OMF (Open Media Framework) and AAF (Advanced Authoring Format) files from Avid editing systems, Adobe
Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro (FCP) into combustion 3 quickly and
easily, the manufacturer reports.
Pro Import C3 imports all media and clips to combustion 3.0.2 in a single
step that takes just seconds. The plug-in reads OMF and AAF compositions
from Avid , FCP, or Premiere Pro and converts the edited sequence into a
combustion workspace, translating information about the sequence -- such as
its clips, layers, and effects -- into a composition that's ready for
graphics and effects work in combustion. Supported effects include
Picture-in-Picture, Superimpose, Flip and Flop, Speed Changes, and more.
Automatic Duck's newest plug-in eliminates the tedious and time-consuming
task of exporting and importing every clip separately and rebuilding by
hand the layers and clip relationships in combustion. By providing time
savings on the order of hours, the Pro Import C3 typically pays for itself
over the course of just a couple of projects, the company reports.
The new Automatic Duck Pro Import C3 plug-in is offered at $495 and will be
shipping for both Mac OS X and Windows this spring.
