CameraPOV Simulator Plug-Ins Available

Verona, WI - Profound Effects, Inc., announced immediate availability of Version 1.0 of CameraPOV, a plug-in suite that offers the through-the-lens point-of-view of eight different types of cameras. The package is available for many effects and editing platforms including Final Cut Pro 3.x or 4.0, certain Avid editing
systems, After Effects 5.5 and later, combustion 3.0, and Digital Fusion 4.0.
CameraPOV offers four different types of still camera POVs, including a high-end SLR, a medium-range SLR, an old SLR, and a digital camera. Four different video camera POVs are provided, including a consumer camcorder, a high-end camcorder, a security camera, and a night-vision camera.
Each camera type provides great self-animating effects even at their default settings:
•Each camera sports its own “look” and provides many settable icons and modes.
•The still cameras have “working” light meters that automatically track the luminance of the
underlying media to generate realistic self-animating shutter speed and aperture settings.
•The camcorders support zoom, battery, and date displays, and offer a simple tape “transport”
to allow time to change in a realistic manner.
•The digital camera and camcorder effects offer LCD screen simulation effects.
•The security and night-vision cameras offer high light bloom and resolution-independent
video noise and scanline effects.
•The night-vision camera provides a customizable vignette and targeting crosshairs.
•Many effects offer automatic resolution decimation effects.
CameraPOV for After Effects compatible hosts including After Effects, Digital Fusion, Final Cut Pro, and combustion has a retail price of $149 (USD). CameraPOV for Avid AVX systems has a retail price of $199 (USD).
