GrangerFX Releases Play-Inspired TrinityFX

Placerville, CA - GrangerFX is shipping a package of over 500 broadcast quality transitions and effects. The new product, TrinityFX plug-ins for Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, contains a wide range of effects that include simple wipes, 3D DVEs, page peels and fully ray-traced scenes. All of the effects render in near real-time and can be applied with just a few mouse clicks, the manufacturer describes.
TrinityFX contains all the effects and transitions that shipped with the Trinity switcher and nonlinear editor, plus many additional never previously released effects. Play’s talented team of animators took years to produce these effects. Most of the effects were designed for use with NTSC video but the package also includes over 170 effects in PAL format.
Seven years ago, Play Inc. introduced the Trinity video system with the goal of changing the way television and video was made. Many people saw the Trinity demonstrated at trade shows like NAB and Comdex. One of the Trinity’s most impressive features was its ability to create real time 3D video effects. Play Inc was later purchased by GlobalStreams Inc., which licensed the effects for use in TrinityFX.
Availability
TrinityFX is available for $499; it is bundled with GrangerFX plug-ins for Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro on Windows 2000/XP. A Macintosh version of GrangerFX is under development.
