Matrox RT.X100 Supports Canopus, Pinnacle Files

Montreal, QC - An updater for the Matrox RT.X100 Xtreme Pro driver set, providing file format compatibility with selected Pinnacle and Canopus products, is now available from the Matrox Video Products Group.
After installing this updater, the manufacturer describes, users can play back Pinnacle and Canopus DV AVI files in real time on a Matrox RT.X100 Xtreme Pro system. There is no need to re-encode the original video files. Users save time and effort as they benefit from all the capabilities Matrox RT.X100 Xtreme Pro gives them to create new projects based on previously captured footage.
"This new video file compatibility feature has been requested by many of the thousands of former Pinnacle and Canopus customers who have taken advantage of our trade-up offer to upgrade their editing systems," said Spiro Plagakis, Matrox vice president of sales and marketing. "We have now made it even easier for them to enjoy the benefits of Adobe Premiere Pro and the Matrox RT.X100 Xtreme Pro real-time editing platform.
Registered Matrox RT.X100 Xtreme Pro owners can download the updater free of charge from the web site. The updater has been validated with files captured on Canopus DVStorm and DVStorm2, and Pinnacle DV500, DV500 Plus, DV500 DVD, Pro-ONE and Pro-ONE RTDV.
