Fujinon Intros New ENG/EFP Lens

Wayne, NJ - Fujinon will introduce a new broadcast ENG/EFP lens, the A18x7.6BERM/BERD, featuring a wide angle of 60 degrees at 7.6mm, focal length range of 7.6 to 137mm, 18x magnification, and greater image clarity than previously available from a standard ENG/EFP zoom lens, the manufacturer has announced.
Dimensions of the A18x7.6 are 85x203mm, and it weighs 1.53kg. The lens complements a 2/3-inch camera.
The A18x7.6 is equipped with Fujinon's exclusive GO- Technology that enables the optimization of all optical components in the composition of the lens. This results in a 20-30 percent improvement in all optical features, when compared with conventional lenses without Fujinon's advanced GO- Technology. Longitudinal and lateral chromatic aberrations are reduced, as is flare and focus breathing.
Like the HD version, the HA18x7.6, the standard zoom A18x7.6 features easily programmable digital features, allowing the operator to customize the lenses to their preference. And this lens can be controlled remotely via a PC's RS232 control port.
The A18x7.6 features Inner Focus, a servo module with Digi Power, Quick Zoom, One Shot Pre-Set, Cruise Zoom, and RS232 control ports as standard features. Quick Zoom provides zooming in 0.6 seconds from wide-end to telephoto. A push of the Cruise Zoom switch while zooming will fix the zooming speed at the existing rate. Once it is fixed, the speed will remain
constant throughout the zoom range. Zoom and focus can be preset and memorized in advance at a selected shot. One touch of the switch during shooting will instantly return to the memorized position. The maximum zoom speed can be selected in seven precise steps allowing the operator to fine-tune the zoom speed according to personal preferences.
