New DV Cinematography Mattebox for AG DVX-100

Burbank, CA - Alfred Chrosziel and 16x9 Inc. have unveiled a new matte box for shading and filtering when using front-mounted lens accessories on Panasonic AG DVX-100 cameras.
Chrosziel's new 411-53PK Mattebox system offers professional features cinematographers request including a housing that covers both 16:9 and 4:3, a filterstage for two 4x4 filterholders - one fixed and one rotating, a French flag, a 16:9 mask and even a provision for sidewings.
The system uses a lightweight rectangular adapter plate that conforms to the shape of the anamorphic attachment and the rear mattebox opening, the manufacturer reports. The plate's round cutout interior directly interfaces the original camera lens. Various adapters (85mm-105mm) facilitate the slick addition of Century Optics .7X Wide Converter, 1.6X Tele Converter or Panasonic's own .8X Wide Angle Converter.
To ensure a secure mount, the system includes a lightweight support, mattebox rods, and a center bracket customized to the DVX-100. Shooters have the option of adding the Chrosziel DV Studio Rig Follow Focus system for true cine-style feel and function.
The 411-53PK is just one of the many Chrosziel solutions for DV cinematography. AG DVX-100 users who do not require front mounted add-ons (except for Panasonic's Wide Converter) may also choose Chrosziel's 4x4 DV Sunshade Kits.
