Enhanced Linux NLE Software Available

Toronto, ON - Cinelerra, a freely-available nonlinear editor (NLE) software package developed natively and solely for the Linux operating system, is now available from Heroine Warrior. First released in 1996 (under its original name, Broadcast 2000), the program continues to be updated and improved with its latest version release, the manufacturer describes.
It includes many of the features found in professional editorial tools on the market, and some extras, including: real-time visual effects, FireWire input/output, render-farm capability, and even support for HDTV formats and Ogg Vorbis.
Manufacturer recommended system requirements are significant, including a dual 2 GHz Athlon system, with 1GB RAM and a 200 GB hard drive.
