Macrosystem Releases Arabesk 2.0

Boulder, CO - Macrosystem US has released its latest DVD Authoring System, Arabesk 2.0, featuring enhanced DVD Menu and Title options, among other features being described:
Main DVD Menu Layout Options
- MOTION (or still image/pattern) Menu Backgrounds WITH Audio
- This background is selectable from any scene in any project in your Casablanca
- Film (Project) Icons in the DVD menu are selectable from any scene in any project in the system
- Designate DVD to play Trailer upon loading, or boot to the Main DVD Menu
- New quality setting for films longer than two hours
- Change order of films after adding a project
- Player for watching added films
- Player for watching entire DVD project including the menu
- Player for finished DVDs (only DVDs created with Casablanca)
- Supports higher burning speeds
Menu Title and Film Icon Options
The Film (Project) Icons in the DVD menus created with Arabesk 2.0 are now very customizable. Selections from the following variables are supported:
- Any font available in your Casablanca Titler can be used for main title and film stamp titles
- Any position for main title (free positionable)
- Size of Film Icons (3 sizes as well as 'no stamp' leaving just the name of the film for launching the film)
- Free positioning of Film Icons in the DVD Menu
- Set border specs (width, color, pattern or none at all)
- Set drop shadow specs (width, color, pattern or none at all)
- Film titles can be added left, right, below or on top of Film Icons
- Text attributes of both Main Title and Film Texts(color, frame, shadow, italics)
- Import complete menu screens from other products (Akaba, PiP-Studio, PC-Link) or use completely self-created menus within Arabesk 2.0. This means you can create motion icons for your Films (Projects). This process is detailed in the Arabesk 2 Manual
- Archives for saving menus (for later use)
- Optional trailer film with or without menu
All Casablanca units with DVD burners, all DVD upgrades, and all individual DVD burners are shipping with Arabesk 2.0; features of Arabesk v.1 included:
- Playback on standard consumer DVD players.
- More than 2 hours running video and compressed audio on a 4.7 GByte DVD using standard picture quality
- Create a DVD menu with selectable title, background and reference pictures, including Spice Rack images!
- Every title can be divided into chapters selected from any scene of your project
- 50 subject-related photos and textures for your menu design; you can also choose from all other installed patterns and colors
- You select the picture quality level
- Store audio compressed (audio layer 2) or uncompressed (LPCM) to your DVD
- Create as many copies as you need
- Read any DVD created on your system to produce additional copies at any time
- Supports DVD-R (write once, playable with nearly every DVD player).
- Supports DVD-RW (multiple use, only playable with modern DVD players).
- Prepared for interactive applications for the future
- Prepared for other systems than DVD-R and DVD-RW for the future.
Arabesk 2.0 is available for only $99; retroactive Arabesk 2.0 packages available at no charge for Casablanca hardware buyers (since 11/15/03).
ALL Casablanca units or DVD Hardware Upgrades purchased on or after November 15th, 2003 will receive Arabesk 2.0 at no charge. If this is the case, contact your dealer. Arabesk 2.0 will not be available as part of the Buy 2 Get 1 Free software sale, the company announced.
