Boris Announces Graffiti 3

Boston, MA - Boris FX's latest version of its titling software tool, Graffiti 3, will ship at the end of the month, the company reports.
The update includes a variety of performance and feature enhancements, including OpenGL hardware acceleration, and support for new editing products such as Sony Digital Pictures Vegas 4 and Adobe Premiere Pro, as well as various Avid, Apple, Media 100 and other NLEs.
Graffiti is a 2D and 3D titling suite that supports vector text, animated tracking, kerning, rolls, crawls, fades and so on. It also allows users to map text to 3D shapes and extrude with textures and reflection maps. The new 3.0 release includes OpenGL hardware acceleration and hundreds of preset effects, the company describes. It also adds vector paint capabilities for write-on effects and custom shapes; new advanced title animation; an expanded selection of type-on animations; new text on path options; animated gradients; spline tools; direct placement of text editing over video background; bump maps for extruded text; and seven new effect filters, including 3D Image Shatter, Colorize Glow, Light Zoom, MultiShadow, Radial Blur, Spiral Blur and Twirl.
