Formac Ships Second Generation LCD
October 21, 2003
Berkeley, CA - Formac Electronic has announced the Gallery 1900, a second generation 19.0” LCD with advanced TFT performance, including brightness (300 cd/m2) and contrast ratio (700:1), the company reports.
Featuring proprietary digital graphics and unique conical viewing angle technologies, the new Gallery 1900 display comes with both DVI and ADC interface, and is Mac and PC compatible.
With a 19.0” viewable screen and a SXGA resolution of 1,280 by 1,024 the Gallery 1900 displays the digital content of a standard 17” SXGA LCD, but on a 25% larger screen real estate. The magnified picture makes the Gallery ideal for text intensive applications such as word processing, web browsers, databases and spreadsheets. Featuring a 5:4 screen ratio the physical screen size of the Gallery 1900 is comparable to a 20” wide-screen LCD, at a fraction of the cost. The ultra-slim bezel design makes the Gallery 1900 ideal for dual-monitor environments.
Formac’s new Gallery 1900 comes with a three year limited warranty, and features the company’s pixel policy of a maximum of two dead pixels.
The Formac Gallery 1900 is available now for an estimated U.S. $849.
