Canon Announces New LCD Projectors

Mississauga, ON - Canon Canada announced Canon's new line of LCD projectors, with 1.6x Canon ultra-wide zoom lens for use in small or short throw environments.
All three projectors support Canon's new optional networking accessories including a Multi Card Imager (LV-MI01), Wired LAN Card (LV-WN01), Wireless LAN Card (LV-WN02) and Compact Flash Card (LV-WN03) for greater flexibility.
The new Canon LV-7215, LV-7210, and LV-5210 LCD projectors feature an ultra-wide 1.6x zoom lens, permiting extra-large, 100" images to be projected from 2.5 metres away, the manufacturer describes.
The Canon LV-7215 projector offers 2500 ANSI lumens and native XGA resolution, running at 35dB. The LV-7215 also features progressive scan circuitry for converting a 480i/575i signal. For total connectivity, The LV-7215 projector includes a DVI-I terminal for linking to a computer and it accepts a variety of inputs for easy use with such peripherals as DVD players, HDTV receivers, VCRs, digital camcorders and digital cameras.
Canon's LV-7210 model has native XGA Resolution and 2000 ANSI lumens, and optional networking accessories. Like the LV-7215, the LV7210-projector also runs at 35db and features progressive scan circuitry (making it an ideal addition to a home theater setup as well as the DVI-I terminal for total connectivity.
The new Canon LV-5210 has native SVGA resolution with 2000 ANSI lumens. The LV-5210 projector also features the DVI-I total connectivity terminal and quieter operation (35dB) than the previous generation.
The LV-7215, LV-7210 and LV-5210 micro-portable LCD projectors will make their debut in mid-September for suggested (CDN.) list prices of $5,000, $4,300 and $3,100, respectively.
