Sony Pictures Digital Showcases Software at WEVA EXPO

Las Vegas, NV - Sony Pictures Digital Networks (SPDN), which finalized its acquisition of Sonic Foundry's desktop software tools in July, is showing its newly expanded line of award-winning software technologies and online services at Wedding & Event Videographers Expo.
SPDN is conducting theater presentations of its video, audio and DVD creation tools, Vegas 4.0 and DVD Architect software, as well as presenting its other industry-standard technologies that include ACID PRO 4.0 software for royalty-free music creation, and Sound Forge 6.0 software for audio mastering.
In addition, it is demonstrating the new versions of Sony Screenblast Movie video editing software and Sony Screenblast ACID 4.0 music creation software (formerly Screenblast Music Studio, which are now shipping.
SPDN's software products, when combined with the Sony professional DVCAM camcorders featuring the i.LINK (IEEE 1394) interface, and the company's VAIO PCs with DVD burning drives, offer a complete end-to-end acquisition and production solution for professional wedding and event videographers.
The combination of Sony's professional audio/video and IT tools provide videographers with the reliability of AV and the efficiency of IT. As a result, videographers can move video from their DVCAM camcorder directly onto their VAIO desktop or notebook PC for editing and straight to DVD, enabling them to easily and quickly produce the best final video .
