Applied Magic To Unveil Turnkey HD Editing at WEVA EXPO

Carlsbad, CA - Applied Magic will unveil its new HD Cinema Workstation at WEVA EXPO 2003.
This turnkey system is a complete real-time editing solution for high-definition video under Adobe Premiere 6.5. The newest version, Premiere Pro, will also soon be supported, the manufacturer notes. HD Cinema incorporates CineForm’s high-performance HD editing pipeline, Aspect HD, to provide real-time HD editing on today's fast PCs - without hardware assistance, the manufacturer describes.
The HD Cinema package includes a 2.8GHz Intel Pentium 4 PC with Hyper-Threading technology, Aspect HD, Adobe Premiere 6.5, and multiple hard drives in a simple RAID 0 configuration. Users of HD Cinema can expect up to four HD streams plus transitions, effects, and motion, all simultaneously, all in real time, and without the need for any specialized hardware. HD Cinema imports HDV video streams and edits that HD content in real time. After editing, HD video is easily exported to a wide variety of HD, SD, and Web distribution formats.
WEVA EXPO 2003, the 13th Annual Wedding and Event Video Expo, will beheld August 25-28 at Bally’s Las Vegas.
HD Cinema uses Aspect HD’s unique real-time pan, zoom, and rotate capability, which allows a videographer to get closer to the action in post production without impacting the final output quality—a capability not possible with DV sources. And because of the progressive nature of HDV content, exporting to standard definition DVD results in a look much more like film than if the original source is in DV format.
HD Cinema is available immediately for a retail price of $5995. Applied Magic will be offering a show special to WEVA members, and demonstrations will be held in Booth 808 and 809.
