Panasonic Announces Availability of LCD Monitors
August 01, 2003
Secaucus, NJ - Panasonic has announced its new CT-L1400 and CT-L2000 monitors, designed to meet a wide range of digital signage and professional audio/video applications.
Both monitors feature Panasonic-exclusive Adaptive Intensity (AI) technology to boost brightness and deliver deeper blacks for more lifelike images in varying contrast scenes. The AI system uses a process called histogram detection to process the luminance distribution in real time. Non-linear gamma correction is used to boost gradation in the luminance areas containing the greatest number of picture elements. The result is greater detail, depth and realism in an image, the manufacturer describes.
Both monitors offer specifications of 450cd/mē panel brightness, 400:1 contrast ratio and a wide 160 degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles, two composite and one component video/audio input, plus built-in audio speakers. The CT-L2000 also offers a Hammer Drive Sound System to provide an expansive sound field and a deep bass.
The CT-L1400 (pictured) weighs 9.7 pounds and its dimensions are 14.4" W x 14.3" H x 2.5" D (without stand).
The CT-L2000 weighs 15.9 pounds and its dimensions are 19.4" W x 18.2" H x 2.8" D (without stand).
The CT-L1400 and CT-L2000 are currently available at suggested list prices of $595 and $1,295 respectively.
