Apple to Launch Standalone Soundtrack

Cupertino. CA - Soundtrack, the music production tool introduced by Apple Computer in Final Cut Pro 4, will be available as a standalone application, the manufacturer announced.
Soundtrack, used to create royalty-free music scores, automatically matches audio loops regardless of tempo and key automatically. It can be used for real-time arranging and mixing.
It comes with thousands of royalty-free audio loops and sound effects, and ships with more than 30 audio plugins.
Other features include:
Real-time matching of audio loops and sound effects within a composition;
Search capabilities by instrument, genre or mood;
Support for Apple Loops, AIFF, WAV and Acid files;
Ability to set tempo and key;
Audio processing at up to 24-bit/96 kHz;
Support for 126 simultaneous audio tracks;
Multiple time signatures;
Pitch shifting in individual regions;
Synchronization of music to video markers;
Ability to import DV, SD and HD QuickTime formats, as well as Final Cut Pro movies with scoring markers.
Soundtrack will be available for $299; it is supported in Mac OS X.
