Sonic Ships PrimeTime for Windows XP Media Center
July 03, 2003
arin County, CA - Sonic Solutions is now shipping Sonic PrimeTime, its DVD recording application designed exclusively for Windows XP Media Center Edition.
Sonic PrimeTime allows users to find, select, and burn their favorite shows onto DVDs or Video CDs with just a few clicks of the Media Center’s remote control.
Sonic PrimeTime builds on Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition, making it easy to archive recorded TV shows onto DVD discs that can be played on any of the hundreds of millions of DVD players worldwide, the manufacturer reports.
Designed to complement Windows XP Media Center Edition, Sonic PrimeTime uses a “10-foot” user interface, making its operation in the living room via the Media Center remote control a snap. Employing the same program information and sorting functionality as Media Center, PrimeTime makes it fast and easy to browse, select, and burn favorite recorded shows to DVD or Video CD. The recorded shows can then be played back on standard set-top DVD players and DVD-equipped PCs.
Sonic PrimeTime features include:
TV Show Browser - Sonic PrimeTime uses the same sorting options as Media Center itself. Users can sort through TV shows by date, genre, or alphabetically, simplifying the selection of programs for burning to DVD.
One-Click DVD Burning - Once you have selected your TV shows in the PrimeTime browser, burning them to DVD is a one-click operation. Sonic PrimeTime automatically creates Hollywood-style DVD menus, inserts chapter points for easy navigation, and burns the final content to DVD or Video CD.
Dolby Digital encoding - Sonic PrimeTime encodes theatre-quality Dolby Digital audio, creating the finest in stereo sound. In addition, Dolby’s state-of-the-art audio compression allows even more shows to be added to your DVD by maximizing the available disc space.
Sonic PrimeTime is now available for $79.99.
