Canopus Announces DVStorm2 Lite

San Jose, CA - Canopus Corporation has announced DVStorm2 Lite, with all the realtime editing capabilities found in DVStorm2, including realtime multi-track editing, as well as realtime filters, 3D effects and render-free DV output.
When using Adobe Premiere, DVStorm2 Lite delivers five simultaneous realtime video streams and unlimited title and graphics , the manufacturer reports. Canopus is also bundling Ulead COOL 3D Production Studio SE animation software for creating stunning 3D titles and animated graphics.
DVStorm2 Lite also provides realtime color correction with waveform/vectorscope, variable speed control, DV chroma key, auto white balance, region filter, and more. Canopus has included a collection of editing, effects and authoring software to make the DVStorm2 Lite a powerful and cost-effective solution for video professionals.
In addition to Ulead COOL 3D Production Studio SE, bundled software includes Canopus Storm Edit nonlinear editing software, Canopus’s DV capture tool that provides single-pass scan and capture for up to three video streams at once, Canopus Xplode for DVStorm effects software, and Sonic Foundry’s ACID Style audio software for a quick and easy way to produce custom music. MPEG encoding capabilities are available through Canopus SoftMPEG for quick creation of MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video (StormEncoder hardware module not included). The award-winning Ulead DVD Workshop SE authoring software is also bundled with DVStorm2 Lite for authoring interactive DVD’s with advanced features such as motion menus and DVD-recordable media support.
DVStorm2 Lite also features the company’s family of MPEG tools, including MpegCutter, a handy MPEG-editing tool for basic editing tasks, MpegExplorer for advanced desktop search and preview of MPEG files and MpegRe-encoder for high-speed conversions of high-bitrate MPEG files to lower-bitrate files.
DVStorm2 Lite is now available for a suggested retail price of $899. Also available is the recently-released Canopus Visual Effects Suite for $299, with Xplode Professional 4.0, PhotoAlbum 2.0 and Imaginate, and the new Canopus Production Suite for $999, which includes the Visual Effects Suite along with Canopus EDIUS editing software and ProCoder, the company’s transcoding tool.
