Pinnacle Systems' New Studio MovieBox Family Ships

Mountain View, CA - Pinnacle Studio MovieBox DV and Studio MovieBox USB, two new products that let consumers connect almost any camcorder to their PCs (without having to install a PCI card) and edit their home movies, are now avilable.
Both products include Pinnacle Studio 8 movie making software for users to capture, edit, and output home movies to tape, DVD, CD, or the Internet.
According to the April sales tracking report from NPD Intelect, 45 percent of those who purchased a hardware editing solution chose an external device for video capture. The same study showed Pinnacle's award winning Studio software as the leading software solution for home movie making.
The MovieBox products connect to the PC using the latest high-speed inter-connect standards, making them a breeze to install and use. MovieBox DV connects through the PCs 1394/FireWire port, while MovieBox USB connects to PCs through a hi-speed USB 1 or USB 2 port.
MovieBox DV adds analog and digital video input and output (I/O) capability to any PC equipped with a 1394/FireWire port. The product comes complete with Pinnacle Studio 8 software and can be used with Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP PCs and laptops.
