Canopus Announces ACEDVio Analog and DV Nonlinear Editing Solution

San Jose, CA - Canopus Corporation's new ACEDVio will be available next week, the company has announced.
Described as the only OHCI-based video editing solution to deliver analog and DV capture and output with native OHCI support for all popular video cameras and decks, including VHS, S-VHS, Hi-8 Digital8, DV and DVCAM, ACEDVio uses Canopus DV codec technology to provide unmatched picture quality, along with the company's locked audio technology for perfect audio and video synchronization.
ACEDVio comes bundled with a complete, fully-functioning version Sonic Foundry's Vegas 4.0, a Windows-based integrated real-time video and audio
nonlinear editing with comprehensive features that allow for multitrack mixing, compositing, color correction, titling, streaming media encoding and
5.1 multichannel surround sound production.
ACEDVio also includes Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2.0 SE, Ulead's DVD
creation software. DVD MovieFactory gives users an intuitive tool for
sharing high-quality videos and digital image slideshows on DVDs and CDs.
ACEDVio supports a wide variety of popular editing applications, such as
Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Edition, iMovie, Ulead MediaStudio Pro,
Windows Movie Maker and Xpress DV. ACEDVio also provides easy connections
for storage devices, CD-RW drives, scanners, digital still cameras, and
more.
Pricing and Availability
The ACEDVio supports Macintosh and Windows-based systems and will be
available May 27, 2003 from Canopus and its authorized dealers and system
integrators for a suggested retail price of $499.

Windows
Minimum system requirements include Windows 2000 (SP 3 or later), Windows XP
Home or Windows XP Professional (SP 1 or later), AMD Athlon(tm) 800MHz or
Intel Pentium(tm) III 800MHz or higher, 256MB of RAM, Ultra ATA/66 or
faster hard drive, PCI sound system supporting 48 kHz audio, graphics card
with DirectDraw off-screen overlay and 24-bit color display at 1024x768
color resolution, a free PCI slot (v2.1 or higher) and a CD-ROM drive.
Macintosh
MacOS 9 or later, a free PCI slot, and a software application supporting OHCI
capture, such as iMovie, Final Cut Pro, etc.
