ATI's Eazylook Enhances Home Theater Experience
May 19, 2003

Markham, ON - ATI Technologies Inc. has released Eazylook, a new user interface
for home theater settings and control over multimedia playback devices, including TV, DVD, File Player and the Multimedia Center Library - all parts of ATI's Multimedia Center.

The All-In-Wonder family of products has inputs and outputs for S-video,
composite video and audio connecting to all the major home theater video
appliances. ATI is unique in the ability to connect more recent products
(Radeon 8500, 9500, 9700, 9600, and Mobility Radeon 960) to DTV-ready televisions.

The YPrPb/Component output capability enables a high resolution, non-interlaced
display up to 1920x1080 of TV, DVD, PC games, Internet, and more on the
large family room display using the only available input. In many cases,
DTV-ready TVs do not have VGA or DVI inputs as often as they have component YPrPb inputs.

Unique to Eazylook is integrated, on screen, context sensitive help to provide users with information on remote control options. Personal customization allows users to configure permanent onscreen indicators for key features, or select from one of three colour combinations.

Eazylook is included with the new Multimedia Center 8.5 and Remote Wonder 1.5 software that is an essential part of Catalyst 3.4 - ATI's high-quality, reliable software suite that includes unified driver and software applications designed for ATI's Radeon family of graphics products, the manufacturer describes.

Other Catalyst 3.4 enhancements include:

- Full stream acceleration of DivX Player through a unique accelerated post-processing algorithm (supported in DivX Player version 2.1 and higher) users can enjoy higher quality DivX content exclusively on select Radeon products.

- Enhanced Color Management system: Users can easily control the color of desktop content, gaming and video playback. Additionally, users can also now define profiles for individual applications and switch between them with the new hotkey feature.

- Eazylook interface integrates ATI's Remote Wonder and ATI's Multimedia Center software suite.

ATI video card drivers found in Catalyst 3.4 have received Microsoft Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) certification.
