Casio To Ship Disc Title Printer
May 08, 2003
Dover, NJ - The Casio CW-75 Disc Title Printer, introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show, will be available in August, the manufacturer has announced.
The CW-75 is a thermal printer with a print area measuring 5/8" x 2 15/16". On a typical CD-R, up to eight lines can be printed in one print area above the opening in the center of the CD-R, and up to eight lines in one print area below the hole, for a total of 16 lines. (The thermal transfer ribbon will print about 50 CDs using one print area.)
The CW-75 features qwerty keyboard for stand alone operation as well as a USB connection for easy hook-up to a PC. The PC software includes six fonts, 1,055 symbols, step-by-step help and templates. The Disc Title Printer can display 12 characters x one (1) line data input and shows the CD-R/DVD layout.
The print format of the CW-75 consists of 18 alpha-numeric formats and four graphic formats that you can select from. The machine will produce crisp, clear, professional CD-R/DVD labels, eliminating the need to apply sticky labels that can damage a disc drive.
The Disc Title Printer is powered by eight "AA" size batteries or an optional AC adaptor.
The complete package includes: USB cable, software, black ink ribbon, template, sample CD-R, batteries, jewel case labeling templates and sample jewel case.
It is scheduled to be available in August 2003, MSRP $199.99.
