Contour Design Adds Support for dpsVelocity and ProTools

Windham, NH - Contour Design, Inc., has added Leitch's dpsVelocity and Digidesign's ProTools to the growing list of applications supported by the Contour ShuttlePRO multimedia controller.
ProTools pre-programmed settings for Contour's new ShuttleXpress multimedia controller are also available now, with dpsVelocity settings to follow later this month, the manufacturer announced.
Contour's ShuttlePRO multimedia controller can be programmed to control core editing functions; application features, customized software commands and multi-keystroke sequences can also be stored in the unit.
Leitch dpsVelocity Support
- Frame-by-frame accurate clip editing
- VTR control
- Fingertip access to common commands such as mark in, mark out, etc.
- Programmable to any keyboard command supported by dpsVelocity
- Support for dpsVelocity 8.1 and the forthcoming dpsVelocity/Q 8.2
Digidesign ProTools Support
- 7 speeds of shuttle forward and reverse with sound
- Jog dial accurate down to beats, ticks, or measures
- Cycle through edit tools and edit modes
- Transport controls such as record, play, stop, fast-forward, and rewind
- Programmable to any keyboard command supported by ProTools
- Support for ProTools versions 5.X and 6.X for Windows based systems, 6.X for Mac OS X based systems
Availability and Pricing
The new application settings are available for free download from Contour Design's website. Contour's ShuttlePRO and ShuttleXpress are available through Contour's extensive network of distributors and resellers. The recommended retail price of the ShuttlePRO and ShuttleXpress are $109.99 and $59.99, respectively.
