JVC Streamcorder Now Compatible with QuickTime 6
April 08, 2003
Las Vegas, NV - JVC Professional Products announced its GY-DV300 Streamcorder is now compatible with Apple Computer’s Quicktime 6, and will be soon with industry standard MPEG-4.
Using the three-CCD camcorder and the KA-DV300 network card, users can simultaneously record to tape and output program content for Internet streaming.
JVC also announced the GY-DV300REM, adding RS-232C remote control capability over iris, zoom and focus, among other camera functions, to the unit. A snap-on RS-232C adapter plate provides connection; it can be removed when not needed.
All KA-DV300 network packs shipped after April 1 incorporate the QuickTime upgrade. An MPEG-4 enhancement will be available in the near future, the company stated.
