April 08, 2003
Las Vegas, NV - Laird Telemedia is launching its new LTM-PROBAY, a slide-in, bi-directional DV
media converter packaged in a flexible housing that enables easy
integration into any standard PC or Apple G4 system.
The LTM-PROBAY is an analog-DV-analog media converter that provides all the features of Laird's well-known DV media converters in a 5.25-inch computer drive bay enclosure. Housed in the new DVMOD technology, PROBAY features easy-to-use front-panel controls, high-quality signal processing, and RS170A SCH stable video output compliant to SMPTE/EBU broadcast standards. The drive simply plugs into a standard drive power connector.
The new LTM-PROBAY1 converts component, composite, YC, and XLR balanced audio to DV and occupies a single PC or Apple G4 drive bay. Designed to occupy two drive bay enclosures within a PC system, the LTM-PROBAY2
converts SDI, component, composite, YC, and XLR balanced audio to DV. Both
models are compatible with Avid XpressDV, Final Cut Pro, Canopus, Adobe,
and any other DV-based edit system software.
