'Videographers' Included on Cover of The Knot
December 02, 2005
Sarasota, FL - Popping up on news stands across the country are brand new editions of The Knot’s regional wedding magazines with "videographers” mentioned on the front cover under the headline "Real Weddings." Inside, on the contents page under "planning," brides will find "Video’s New Wave - Great new ideas for your starring role,” a multi-page feature story highlighting the value of professional videography and fresh ideas for creating custom videos.
“Wedding & Event Videographers Association International (WEVA) has been working very closely with the major bridal media in an ongoing initiative to raise public awareness of the amazing new trends in professional wedding videography, and it’s exciting to see the knot responding by positioning video on the front cover of the new issues of their regional magazines!” said WEVA’s Director of Association Communications Dan Argenas. “It’s excellent timing for the new season and also for WEVA’s nationwide bridal consultant initiative that begins January 9th,” he said.
“We are excited about informing our brides about the benefits and choices available to them with professional wedding videography,” said Alan Berg the knot.com's Vice President of Sales for regional wedding websites and magazines.
“It has always been the knot’s goal to create informed and educated brides through the offering of information that will help them plan and execute the wedding of their dreams. And, we automatically went to WEVA to help us put the information together that was needed to present an accurate and informative feature. As I and the knot.com team attended and served on a panel of wedding experts at WEVA EXPO 2005, we observed first-hand the creativity and benefits that a professionally-produced video can provide to a couple who want to relive their wedding day for years into the future, and at that time promised to feature videography prominently in an upcoming issue...which has come to pass!” said Berg.
The knot’s in-depth spotlight on wedding video trends informs brides of new "Digital Revolution" developments, highlighting the crystal clarity of high-definition wedding videography, the preservation value of DVDs, ideas for wedding video music backgrounds, and a special focus on “very different videos” including Vintage Videos, Love Stories, Montage Videos, Your Own Indie, and more. The extensive editorial feature also gives special thanks and credit to WEVA’s Director of Educational Development John Zale for providing input. The new regional issues are beginning to appear in stores this month.
