Video Critique Puts Focus On Production Elements
March 23, 2003
- Sarasota, FL- A presentation from Steve Wernick (WEVA International) highlighted the March, 2003 meeting of the Professional Videographers Association of Connecticut (PVACT). Nearly 50 videographers were in attendance at the North Haven Holiday Inn on March 18 for the regular monthly meeting, and special guest speakers.
The featured presentation was a video review by Wernick where elements of three different professional wedding videos were deconstructed to enable attendees to see what was done well, and what areas needed improvement. A 20-year veteran videographer, and WEVA Creative Excellence Awards Competition judge (1998), Wernick was able to help attendees spot and analyze both strong and weak elements in the tapes being reviewed.
Wernick also offered advice on how videographers could improve the quality in their own productions. With the Call for Entries for the WEVA 13th Annual Creative Excellence Awards Competition only a few weeks away, the primer on wedding video production elements was well-timed by the PVACT.
The PVACT meets on the third Tuesday of each month at the Holiday Inn in North Haven, CT. For membership or meeting information, log on to the PVACT web site at www.provideo.org.
