'Battle of Editing Styles' on WEVA-TV; in WEV
December 19, 2002

Sarasota, FL - The first-ever WEVA ”Battle of the Editing Styles," which was a huge draw at the 12th Annual WEVA EXPO, has now become an interactive feature in the new issue of Wedding & Event Videography magazine, the official publication for WEVA International members.

With three pages of insightful analysis, WEV managing editor Lee Rickwood relates the story of this unique EXPO seminar in telling detail. Five different WEVA award-winning wedding editors from North America were given identical post-ceremony footage and a mandate to create a program of less than five minutes.

The complete edited videos from all five editors, along with additional production details, are now streaming on the Members Only section of the WEVA International website at www.weva.com.

After logging on to the WEVA Forums (with username and password), WEVA members must go to the Special Services pull-down menu and select WEVA-TV. Once there, the five WEVA “Battle of the Editing Styles” clips will appear at the top of the page.

“With the new interactive issue of WEV and the edited videos on WEVA-TV, WEVA International is again breaking new ground in professional development training for wedding and event videographers,” said association chairman Roy Chapman. “A WEVA member can be instantly inspired by reading the details of the first-ever WEVA 'Battle of the Editing Styles' and then viewing the actual videos produced by the five WEVA award-winning editors. This special 'Read & Watch' feature clearly shows the amazing difference that a skilled editor provides in the final production of a professionally-produced wedding video," said Chapman.

The five editors featured in the WEVA Battle of the Editing Styles include Dave Steward of Flashback Video Productions LaDonna Moore of Chocolate Moose Productions, Loi Bahn of bluecore media, David Robin of Boulevard Video Productions, and Ken Ehrhart of Summit Video Productions.

WEVA International, the largest trade association for professional wedding and event videographers, is dedicated to advancing the professional interests of wedding and event videographers worldwide through continuing education, technical support, group benefits, advocacy committees and professional development training.
