Code of Ethics Introduced At EXPO 2002
September 05, 2002

Sarasota, FL - In development for two years, the WEVA Code of Ethics was introduced to members at the just-completed EXPO 2002 in Las Vegas.

The WEVA Ethics Committee, chaired by Steve Wernick, compared and contrasted similar documents from a variety of professional organizations, in develpoing the WEVA code. Assisted by Kathy Ritondo, Dan Krieger, Fred Mattson, Rommie Sebo, and Lonnie Norvin, among others, the collaborative effort resulted in a Code of Ethics that sets excellent standards, according to Wernick. "By looking at the Codes of local videographers associations, along with other trades in the wedding industry, we were able to concentrate on the truly important issues," Wernick said.

For WEVA members not in attendance at EXPO 2002, the new WEVA Code of Ethics will be sent via US mail.
