Awesome Crowd Packs Chicago Town Meeting

Chicago, IL - Returning to Chicago, the WEVA Town Meeting 2002 found over 400 videographers registered for the event, the largest outside of New York City. Attendees drove from all over the Midwest to see the workshop presentations of Luisa Winters and Art Polin, to go hands-on with DV, DVD and NLE equipment and services during the Sponsors Reception, and to be wow-ed by the WEVA creative video screenings.
Workshop presenters Luisa Winters and Art Polin spoke before sold-out crowds. Attendees were captivated and amazed by the novel approaches to wedding and event videography by both Winters and Polin.
Sony, Panasonic Broadcast, Canopus, and Moore Digital found their exhibit booths packed for the duration of the reception, and all reported that attendees were serious and educated about their choices in professional equipment.
Among the top WEVA Creative Excellence Award-winning videos sceened was a production by Chicago’s own Chris Chibucos, a longtime WEVA member who was present to demonstrate his techniques during the meeting. Luisa Winters and Art Polin also contributed short segments of new ideas and concepts during the evening session. At the end of the evening videographers left with new inspiration, new techniques, and some valuable new door prizes.
With the 2002 winter tour winding down, attendees have been urging their fellow videographers to update their production skills and DV knowledge by attending one of the remaining WEVA Town Meetings.
