Presidents Council Meets in NY

New York, NY - Always timed to coordinate with the New York Town Meeting, the East Coast meeting of the Local Association Presidents Council was held yesterday afternoon.
The nearly five-hour session was hosted by WEVA Member Services Liasion Tim Ryan, and had representatives from 13 different local videographers associations in attendance. Several travelled huge distances to be at the meeting, including Claudia Walters (St. Louis), Larry Leeds (northern Virginia), Rod Salvilla (Syracuse, NY), and Marty Jones (Boston).
Issues and concerns of local associations are on the table at these meetings. Each representative discussed several mrrting ideas that have worked well, so that other groups can possibly conduct similar programs. In addition, local leaders shared their members thoughts on how to improve the WEVA Expo.
Two more meetings of local association leaders are scheduled for 2002. One will be held for Western leaders, in conjunction with NAB in April, the other will include all associations, and will be held at WEVA Expo 2002. |
