Two New Forums Added
December 12, 2001
Long Island, NY - The 21st Century arrived in the wedding and event video industy with the introduction of digital video technology, the use of the Internet for marketing and communicating, and the explosion of the DVD format. WEVA has now given its members the opportunity to discuss all of the aspects of those topics with the creation of two new Forums.
The ninth and tenth Forums on the WEVA web site, the DVD Technology board and the Internet Technology board are password-protected, as the other eight are as well.
The DVD Technology board is designed to facilitate an open, focused discussion on the hottest consumer electronics format in history. The concerns were aired at WEVA Expo 2001, with issues such as burning DVD's in-house vs. out-sourcing, how to market and profit from wedding and event DVD's, and so on. If your concern relates to DVD's in the social event video marketplace, this Forum is designed to help you find solutions.
Internet technology has allowed videographers to expand their markets from their local area, to the entire country, even internationally. Some concerns are similar to the questions that DVD have raised: should we do our web site in-house, or hire someone? Whether you want to learn more about web design, streaming video clips, grapics, or any of the other technical issues in this category, you'll find WEVA members ready to share on this topic.
WEVA has added three new Forums in recent weeks, and all three grew from member input. If you have any ideas on how WEVA can better serve the membership, simply log in, go to the Forums Lobby, click the Special Services pull-down menu, and highlight "Suggestion Box." |
